In a personal online session, we show the functions and workflows that matter to your learning portfolio.
Instead of walking through a generic feature list, we demonstrate a coherent workflow—for example, learning design and storyboarding, review and approval, legacy SCORM content, localisation, delivery or learning analytics.
The session takes 30–45 minutes and focuses on your subject-matter and technical questions.
Deployment options for the LXMS
Managed service or self-hosted deployment
The LXMS is available as a managed service or for self-hosted deployment.
The managed service includes hosting in Germany or elsewhere in the EU, updates, backups, monitoring and support. Contractual terms cover data location, data processing and service levels.
Editorial access is not licensed per user, so subject-matter authors, reviewers and editors can participate as needed.
The scope depends on your deployment and usage requirements: hosting, concurrent users, storage and media volume, tracking and LRS volume, support, and optional AI or development services.
Entry and growth stages
A time-limited pilot offers a practical starting point. Three service tiers support ongoing use at increasing scale.
Starter, Pro Analytics and Innovation / Learning Companion are also available as self-hosted options.
60-day pilot
A managed test system with BLX Designer, basic tracking, unrestricted editorial access within the pilot environment, support and an onboarding workshop. An optional small, measurable module prototype can be created from existing material.
Starter
BLX Designer, interactive content, unrestricted editorial access and support. The managed service also includes hosting, updates and backups, and is designed for approximately 50 concurrent learners.
Pro Analytics
Innovation / Learning Companion
Pro Analytics plus AI-assisted explanations, rule-based learner guidance, optional AI coach recommendations and evaluation of interventions; sized to an agreed usage profile.
Open-source technology, enterprise-grade operations
Governance, security and operational responsibility
Open source describes the technological foundation of the LXMS. It does not mean that organisations must run the platform themselves or operate without a contractually accountable provider.
Under the managed-service model, BLX operates the LXMS with agreed services for hosting, updates, backups, monitoring, support, data protection and integration. Dedicated instances and SLA-backed support are available where required.
Before a pilot or proposal, organisations should clarify how their internal policies apply to open-source software. A general prohibition differs from specific requirements for self-hosting, liability, support, security or procurement.
The governance review should address the following questions:
- Are open-source components prohibited outright, or does the policy concern internal operation and the absence of contractual accountability?
- Which requirements apply to hosting regions, data protection, security and certification?
- What are the requirements for SLAs, support, monitoring and update processes?
- Which integrations are required with the LMS, IAM/SSO or other portals?
This early review shows whether a managed or self-hosted deployment can meet the requirements, or whether a governance rule prevents use of the platform.
